Verse - The God-Man

Jesus said, “Curse the flesh that depends on the soul, and curse the soul that depends on the flesh.”

Comment

But this does not only refer to the soul's dependence on the body and its desires, born of a lack of knowledge, which draws the soul ever deeper into earth and karma, into the lack of awakening and immaturity of the inner person, which is conditioned by the will and striving of the outer person.

Rather, the Lord's word also refers to the fact that the male and female still mainly only seek each other externally, in the realm of the senses, the body and the soul, and cling to each other, instead of recognizing each other internally as two aspects or revelations of the one spirit and uniting forever in the mystical marriage to become the God-man who is conscious of his luminosity.
