What is Zen? – Meditation and the Search for a meaningful Life and Death – A warning is given three times!

What is Zen? To sacrifice yourself to the good and the truth. Reexamine body and mind continuously and wholeheartedly.

What is Zen? Are you willing to die for something?

The zen monks who have failed to complete to see death become lazier and lazier. They spend more time in the tea room than before. Perhaps they are uncomfortable because of their failure. Although the abbot warned them to keep the on-going zen practice schedule, they did not follow suit. They only grimace, saying they are sick.

A warning is given three times. If you do not comply after three warnings, that's it. More than three times is unnecessary. No one can play your part as a zen monk but yourself.

The monks who successfully complete to see death become more energized and make effort in their practice. The zen monks in the tea room leave with their back sacks. There will be no more chance to live in a meditation hall for them. They are sicker at heart than in their bodies.
